ZOO TALES
Zoo Tales appears every other Monday on Page Three of the print edition of the Metro section and the web version. Washington's National Zoo has 2,000 animals, 1,500 volunteers and 350 staff members. Joe Elbert uses video and still images to show a slice of their world. Thirteen Zoo Tales have appeared since the series began in June. The video stories average 90 seconds apiece. A total of 148 still photographs and 108 video clips have been used in these stories. New stories are added as they're produced.
